Our PET Factor B-12 ™ formula provides Methylcobalamin B-12 in a base of Folic Acid and Intrinsic Factor for enhanced absorption of orally administered vitamin B-12.
B-12, Folic Acid and Intrinsic Factor work together. Folic Acid prepares B-12 for absorption, intrinsic factor attaches to the B-12 so it can be absorbed.
Intrinsic Factor is an enzyme like substance secreted by your pets stomach. Without the proper amount of Intrinsic Factor vitamin B-12 cannot be utilized and absorbed. This combination of ingredients from WonderLabs helps increase the overall bioavailability for your pet.
Exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) impairs an animal's ability to digest and absorb the nutrients available in food. Because of insufficient digestive enzymes created by the pancreas, food passes through the body basically undigested. Animal's will begin to lose weight and have loose, foul-smelling diarrhea. Animals with EPI eat voraciously because they are not able to gain nourishment from the food they do ingest.
